CH@ps is one of the leading users of information technology in order to effectively develop its legal-client relationships with quality work product and excellent communications. The firm has invested in sophisticated information systems technology, support and the related training. All of CH@ps professional lawyers and staff are equipped with computers including access to internal and external
e-mailing systems, databases of resource materials, Internet as well as direct links to the clients. In addition, our technology is linked to numerous external sources of information including legal and non-legal networks that assist CH@ps and client in researching information that is helpful in facilitating legal and business developments.
CH@ps uses an extranet to manage and communicate with its clients. Extranets are part of the three-tier “internet” approach to client services, the others two tiers being the Internet itself and the intranet. It is the best way to allow multiple entities to access shared data in a secure environment across multiple computer platforms. Instead of having the data exchange through a succession of e-mails, the data is maintained in a common area, allowing equal access to authorised personnel. Such an extranet can be customized to completely support of all CH@ps needs for case management. This flexibility is a critical point in crafting an application which satisfies all entities’ requirements.
CH@ps has established information technology links with many clients, thereby facilitating the client’s receipt of up-to-date information regarding legal and business developments.
